About Capt. Andy’s Oceanfront Tiki Bar and Grill
Lovie and Andy McCann purchased The Nags Head Fishing Pier and Pier House Restaurant from Ira Rigger in 1985. Both bring their love of the ocean and many years of restaurant experience to help maintain the Pier House as a consistent reminder of what makes the Outer Banks so special: great seafood, great service, and a relaxed atmosphere. General Manager Brian Kerns shares the McCann’s love of the ocean having found their way to the Pier House simply by stepping off the Pier itself.
Committed to serving the freshest North Carolina Seafood, The Pier House is even happy to prepare an angler’s own fresh catch for them. Or as we like to say, “You hook ‘em, we cook ‘em”
Whether its the hearty breakfast that the locals swear by, steamed shrimp for Happy Hour, or dinner with the family; the Pierhouse Restaurant remains one of the last Outer Banks establishments with true oceanfront dining. There’s no beating that cool breeze and great view.
The new patio expansion, “Captain Andy’s Oceanfront Tiki Bar & Grill” features all the stellar qualities of the Pier House Restaurant… with a Tiki theme. While a fresh open-air extension of the restaurant during the day, come back after hours to enjoy a cold beer or signature cocktail at the full walk-up bar, while enjoying the nightly live music.
The Pier House Restaurant delights in being a constant comfort for locals and visitors alike, and invites you to stop in and say hello.
